We are constantly on the lookout for new farmers, suppliers and artisans, and we love meeting new and exciting people who are doing things a little differently, who are growing beautiful produce and making delicious food, and who are doing things more sustainably to try and make the world a better place. And we’d like to introduce you to one of our latest partnerships, with the lovely farmers, butchers and chefs from Culinary Table in Lanseria, a little oasis of organic deliciousness!
Culinary Table is a restaurant, bakery and deli, driven by the philosophy of preparing healthy, organic food from scratch. You can visit their restaurant for a delicious meal, made with locally sourced ingredients, and fruit, veg and herbs straight from the garden. Seasonality is at the heart of what they do, and Executive Chef Daniela Gutstadt designs a new menu on a weekly basis, depending on what is seasonal from the garden, and incorporating their nose-to-tail, no-waste philosophy. Or you could pop into their deli, which stocks freshly baked bread, free-range meat and many other yummy goodies, with some being made from scratch by the Culinary Table team.
We’ve partnered with them to bring you meat that is not only delicious, but also sustainably sourced. Culinary Table works with local, ethical farmers around the country to source all of its meat, farmers that care about their animals and the meat they’re supplying. From their chickens to their lamb, all the animals are free-to-roam, are fed an all natural diet, and are free from hormones and antibiotics. All the meat is fully traceable, and you know exactly where it’s come from. And they have an in-house butchery to ensure the quality of the meat products they produce.
You will now find Culinary Table meat products in our Quick Trix meat pack, with quick and easy-to-cook cuts of meat, such as minute steaks and chicken mince, and in our Open Flame meat pack, perfect for your next weekend braai! You may also find a few other items in your boxes every now and then, such as their freshly baked bread, or homegrown pecan nuts!
